This is a core and exciting Analyst role within EDDS Operational Risk supporting our Enterprise Digital & Data Solutions, in delivering customer-first digital experiences and robust data governance and management capabilities. The role supports the PRSA program and as such the incumbent will need to have proven operational risk experience. This role will be specifically responsible for: providing oversight and guidance on managing the Process Risk Self-Assessment (PRSA) Portfolio for EDDS. Ensuring that the control framework is effective and there is consistency in managing PRSAs across EDSS.

Responsibilities:

Driving efforts to enable consistency and strengthening the control environment

Identifying opportunities to enhance governance and robust process controls

Provide oversight on the health of the PRSAs within EDDS and ensure respective team works towards improving gaps and improving control environment

Engage with broader EDDS Operational Risk OE Team to guide them with best practices on managing and development of PRSAs

Provide guidance on how to take Assessment Questionnaires, PRSA refresh exercises, testing and certification

Provision of training to broader EDDS OE team. Strong engagement with other areas of EDDS Operational Risk, supporting their activities and ensuring that the team is aware of the core operational risk program agenda. This would also include enterprise resiliency programs

Drive automation of reports for PRSA and guide teams to move towards automation of controls

Managing partnerships to guide in development of preventative, predictive, and automated controls.

Managing the integration of effective controls, rigorous testing & ongoing monitoring into new capabilities, processes, partnerships, and third-party arrangements, to assure delivery against expectations and compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

Operating as a trusted partner to Business and Support groups across the American Express enterprise, supporting them in meeting their expectations and in doing so maintaining strong business focus and presence.

Academic Background:

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field

Past Experience:

Strong experience of Process Risk Self Assessments lifecycle

Strong understanding of risk, control, and compliance. Strong interpersonal skills / ability to develop relationships with peers in business unit and central operational risk management group.

Strong team player, and self-motivation with the ability to handle multiple workstreams and ad-hoc tasks simultaneously

Strong presentation skills, particularly in the development of professional and thoughtful materials

Strong communication skills and ability to convey clear insight and thought leadership.

Experience in Process Transformation, Project Management, and/or Strategy roles

Strong experience with business automation tools such as Business Process Management, data visualization, self-service enablement, digitization, and Robotic Process Automation

Strong analytical background skills, including a proving ability to translate complex and disparate information to develop a comprehensive and cohesive business strategy

Demonstrates creative and highly collaborative approach to solving business problems.
