Fulfillment & Operations Management
Our Fulfillment & Operations Managers manage the heart of the Amazon shopping experience. We give them ownership of their processes, so they can motivate their teams and continuously improve on their successes.
Fulfillment & Operations Management positions :
Area Manager - Area Managers are responsible for all budgetary, people development and operations objectives for one functional area of our Fulfillment Center (Inbound or Outbound). Additional responsibilities include managing and leading a team of Process Assistants, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations and building leadership bench strength within the Fulfillment Center.
Drives creation of staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Change/Six Sigma initiatives to enable their Functional Area and ultimately the FC to meet and exceed Business Plan. Sets / clarifies requirements and expectations for Process Assistants.
Basic Qualification:
- BE/B.Tech Engineering from a reputed university, Operations or related field. MBA Preferred.
- 4 years Operations Management experience in manufacturing, production or distribution environment
- Must be flexible to work any shift 7 days/24 hours including Holidays
- Supervisory responsibility for a minimum of 100 hourly employees
- Basic/Working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques preferred. Excel skills required.
Operations Manager - Operation Manager is for Transportation team.
- In this role you will be responsible for Setting up the sortation centers in the region which includes identifying & setting up sites to ensure rapid expansions & growth in the region.
Essential Functions :
- Defining, building and responsible for the execution of transportation processes, right from Fulfillment centers to sortation hubs and further to the last mile Delivery center network.
- Responsible for Hiring, training and building up a highly motivated workforce for sort hubs with support from HR and training team, to meet the operational requirements for the city, continuously meeting the high bar on quality and productivity.
- Ensure enough bandwidth in these sites for peak time volume management.
- Coordinate with Finance, CS, FC and Projects team to matters related to city operations.
Basic Qualification :
- Graduation/PG.
- Experience in logistics desirable and the experience in courier industry highly preferred
- People management experience. Experience in handling big teams located in different cities is highly desirable.
- Experience in handling live operations preferred (wherein real-time decision making capability & bias for action is a must)
