Some understanding of planning product cycles and selling online is preferred. The right candidate will be flexible, action and results oriented, self-starting and have strong analytical skills.   - He or she must have a proven track record in taking ownership, driving results and moving with speed to implement ideas in a fast-paced environment. He should be entrepreneurial with the confidence to make independent, data-driven decisions.   - The candidate must demonstrate the ability to succeed at managing and driving a full P&L, team-building and management, planning and forecasting, and driving an online business.   - He or she must be able to develop clear thinking and business rationale for new features & services to bring customers ease-of-use and innovation.   - The candidate must be an effective communicator in working with some of Amazon's most important partners and vendors, as well as with internal colleagues and groups. Responsibilities This person will have responsibility for:  - Building selection: Will be responsible for determining customer market needs, growing selection across sub-categories, brands and use cases, managing brand partners and getting support for marketing campaigns.  - Demand generation: Responsible for demand generation. This includes working with other members on the category management team to come up with innovative promotions and site features to improve customer experience.  Business planning :   - Develop a short-term and long-term plan for business growth and work with senior management stakeholders on a regular basis on the state of key business metrics and initiatives to achieve category vision.  Innovation :   - Invent and drive continuous process improvement and automation across our systems to allow us to scale a fast growing business. This will include liaising with the global Amazon community to drive innovation and share best practice.  Basic Qualifications :  - Demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive results  - Strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management.  - Ability to think strategically and tactically, with excellent attention to detail  - Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment  - Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills are essential  Preferred Qualifications :  - Master's degree is preferred  - Experience in consumer-facing sectors such as Retail, FMCG is preferred  - Understanding of fashion products (apparel, shoes, accessories) and experience in buying them is preferred  - Experience in fashion import in either online or offline retail  The position will be based in Amazon's office in Bangalore.  Note : Amazon is an equal opportunity employer.
