Job Description:
The Category Research COE Team Lead will provide strategic support to the Category Management team as it relates to the category research and intelligence function. Will also be responsible for performing research, reporting and related intelligence for the assigned Categories.
Job Functions
- Responsible for coordinating centralized research and intelligence gathering for the Category Management Team
- Proactively works with Category Managers and Senior Category Managers to understand current and future needs, and to develop an approach that will maximize analytical support during upfront strategy development and ongoing strategy execution
- Serves as main Procurement subject matter expert for the Category Research COE
- Manages ad-hoc request pipeline and the impact on capacity levels across the team as a whole, especially during peaks of high demand
- Reviews and approves written communications and presentations summarizing research results before providing to Category Managers
Tracks completion and lead times for all team research activities as an input into performance measurement reporting
Skills Sets Required
Advanced Excel skills
Knowledge of Share Point, MS Office, Ariba or other applications supporting Procurement Operations
Ability to translate short and long term needs of Category Management into clearly defined COE activities
Strong communication (verbal and written) skills, with ability to present COE outputs to multiple levels of management
Flexibility to meet strict deadlines but also handle ad-hoc or unplanned requests
Experience / Qualification
MBA, ECO(Hons), BTECH, BE
Minimum of 4-7 years experience in Procurement and / or Research, Data Analysis discipline
Experience in managing the associate activities
Shift Timings:
11:30 AM -8:30 PM
12:30 PM-9:30 PM
