Assistant Manager-Payroll accounting

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The role involves the following responsibilities in relation to assigned service area group with the bank
- Responsibilities of following work (list inclusive) performed by the team involving accounting functions :
- Preparation and analysis of the P&L Variance and Trend Report
- Business Group Recovery Reporting
- Management Reporting
- Transactional Analysis for Decision Support
- Review of Balance Sheet Positions to ensure compliance with the applicable IFRS
- Support the budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Providing financial summaries and reports of financial status and expenditure
- Reporting on Recovery Status
- Expense analysis and other operational reports including investigation of variances.
- Ad-hoc query management from service area, and other areas of Macquarie relating to service area costs
- Ensure timely delivery of work and providing regular update to all stakeholders including clients
- Preparation and updation of process documentation to keep it up to date all the time.
- Work collaboratively with team of staff performing similar tasks across other service areas to ensure consistency in approach and quality of service delivery to service area clients.
KEY SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in performing accounting control tasks, including journal entry, reconciliations and reporting
- Possesses good knowledge of accounting standards; exposure to IFRS is an advantage
- Good working knowledge of Accounting systems, Reporting tools and Microsoft Excel
- Strong team player.

- Leverages ideas from other internal projects and best practices forums to implement in own area.
QUALIFICATIONS & BACKGROUND/WORK EXPERIENCE
- Postgraduate/ professional accounting qualification, preferably CA or CPA
- Minimum 3-6 years of post CA qualification experience.
- Willingness to travel overseas
- Willingness to work in different time zones to support clients
