Job Description and Job Specification for Asst. Manager (UHG)
- Directly lead/monitor all aspects of performance for a group of 15 - 20 Claims Specialists
- Accurate and timely documentation of claims data
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of data to Team Liaison
- Resource for Explanation of Benefit (EOB) interpretation
- Load balancing to ensure that performance metrics are achieved
- Building and maintaining an effective Team environment within the Network Intelligence group
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal customers (i.e. Team Liaison, US Team Leads/Supervisors, Managers and Directors etc.)
- Coordinate with the Team to identify process improvement opportunities
- Monitor, measure and report Team performance metrics and implement Team incentive programs
- Deliver/facilitate training (both new and ongoing)
- Partner with leadership to promote department revenue and business objectives
- Provide feedback to management on individual and group training results
- Review and update training materials as needed
- Routinely analyze quality results to report error trends
- Identify root causes of errors and opportunities for defect reduction
- Analyze and develop overall improvement plans (department and individual)
- Administrative responsibilities as assigned
Desired profile:
- 4-5 years of total experience in BPOs.
- Healthcare not mandatory
- At least 1-1.5 years of Team leading experience.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Exposure to Access strongly desired
- Expert knowledge and articulation of English language
- Proven ability to lead a team in an operational environment
- Effectively expresses ideas and information both verbal and written to individuals
- Uses careful listening, tact and candor, two-way communication, and a high impact communication style
- Handles sensitive information appropriately (HIPAA) and acts in a fair and honest manner consistent with the company's code of conduct
- Self - starter who can manage multiple priorities with minimum direction
- Ability to identify trends and issues and recommend solutions
- Effectively organizes and leads teams of people in cooperative processes to achieve shared outcomes
- Promotes a high level of commitment to anticipating, understanding, and meeting the needs of each internal and external customer
- Ability to identify and leverage internal networks to complete tasks; presents ideas persuasively; gains the support and assistance of others who have a stake in the outcome; and proactively participates in company initiatives
