AM/Manager - Legal - FMCG

Job Role :

- Be responsible for overseeing compliance of different statutes, in particular, factory, industrial, labour and environment laws.

- To ensure compliance with FSS Act, Rules and Regulations so as to ensure that the manufacturing Unit(s), External Warehouses and Mother Godown comply with their respective conditions of food license(s) and to prepare all requisite returns required under the law.

- To oversee legal requirements at factory(ies), FBOs having relations with factory(ies) concerning sanitary, hygiene and licensing as required under the Food law.

- To ensure that the vendors who supply material(s) are legally permissible to be enrolled as such and to verify requisite legal requirements in respect to all the suppliers/ FBOs and to carry-out necessary checks on raw materials, packaging etc. so as to oversee that they are in compliance with FSSA, Legal Metrology and Drugs and Cosmetics Act as applicable.

- To check that on-line declarations of product labels duly comply with FSSA, Legal Metrology and other applicable laws.

- To ensure compliance with different provisions of Legal Metrology Act, 2009 and Rules including as to Stamping, Verification, and Calibration of all requisite weights and measures before due date(s) and with least costs.

- To coordinate with respective EHS team(s) at factories to monitor compliance of various environmental laws, in particular, Air, Water and Noise Pollution laws, Environment Protection, Hazardous Waste etc. and to coordinate with HR teams to monitor compliance of various Industrial/Labor Laws, in particular, Factories Act, Industrial Disputes Act, Contract Labour Act etc.

Candidate Profile:

- Candidate with 4+ years of experience in handling legal activities for plant, managing legal threats preferably in an FMCG Company, Prior factory work experience is must.

- Graduate/ Post Graduate in Science; Bachelor of Law (LL.B.)

- Good technical knowledge and drafting skills

- Good knowledge of MS Office

- Ability to form independent views

- Interpersonal skills
