FP&A - AM/Manager/Lead Manager/Senior Manager

Core Purpose of the Role :

- To deliver Finance planning, reporting and analysis requirements

Key Responsibilities :

- Generating country, regional and functional financial data for use in management reporting

- Ensuring all data produced out of FCoE is accurate and reconciled

- Aggregating country management information per the aggregation requirements laid out by NY

- Producing monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting that measure financial performance

- Producing first level analysis on all reporting produced out of FCoE

- Identify enhancements or improvements to process with a goal of reducing cycle time and improving quality

- Oversee the generation of country, regional and functional financial data for use in management reporting

Key Capabilities :

- Requires an understanding financial reporting including budgeting and forecasts.

- Managerial leadership including the ability to mentor, coach and develop staff

- Strong control environment background and expertise with a focus on right first time, on time

- Significant and complex financial analysis of business plans

- Good time management skills ability to handle multiple priorities, organise work and meet deadlines

- Analytical and detail focus

- In depth understanding of the financial services industry including current issues, trends and developments

- Good understanding of the key financial drivers for the industry

- In depth understanding of the regulatory environment in the insurance sector

- Ability to work in dynamic environment driving for improvements and change

- Highly motivated individual. Must work with a strong sense of urgency and regularly be able to work long hours to achieve agreed upon objectives within strict time constraints.

- Must be comfortable working within a fast-paced, dynamic and highly matrix organizational structure.

Key Experience :

- Experience working in a financial services firm, preferably insurance

- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills

- Strong knowledge of Excel and Access. Database management preferred.

- Ability to develop productive relationships with peer groups within Finance and all levels of the organization with a customer service/focus

- Experience with financial systems/applications such as Cognos preferred and advanced proficiency in all productivity tools

- Fluent in English

- Flexible with shifts

- Prior work experience in a multinational organisation and matrix reporting structure
