Job Description:
Qualified Accountants with Relevant experience in Audit Firms / Industry
- Experience in Sox Compliance / audit work for the organization.
- Experience in Manage the Business Process Risk Management & Audit program (BPRMA)
- Experience in Conducting independent operational risk assessment and control evaluation across diverse functions for clients primarily in financial services
- 2 - 8 years of post-qualification experience in Statutory Audit, risk advisory/regulatory compliance/ related internal audit experience/external audit experience in Financial Services, Consulting Companies, KPOs or related business experience.
- Experience with Asset Management / Fund Accounting Companies would be preferred
- Good Communication skills
Your main objective is to lead teams of Associate and Advanced Associates, who will carry out routine substantive and controls-based audit testing for the Assurance Global Shared Services Financial Services clients Globally. Key challenges for this role are to ensure that this team provides high quality results to the onshore team, often to a tight deadline.
Your client responsibilities:
- Allocate responsibilities, inform supervisors of the engagement status, and manage staff performance.
- Adapt the audit approach to the changing client environment.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations.
- Liaise closely with the Onshore team to create a strong communication channel.
- Discuss questions and queries promptly with onshore team, and address issues as they arise.
- Challenge procedures used in the past by onshore and Global Shared Services audit teams and attempt to enhance audit techniques.
- Compare efficiency of audit procedures performed across different clients and suggest ideas for improvement.
- Stay informed of current business/economic developments relevant to the client's business.
- Bring potential opportunities for extending the work performed by the Global Shared Services to the onshore team's attention.
Your people responsibilities
- Demonstrate professionalism, competence and clarity of communication when dealing with the onshore audit team.
- Review the work of junior team members to ensure Global Shared Services quality and documentation standards are adhered to.
- Enable the development of junior team members by coaching them to develop their technical and soft skills.
- Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery.
- Contribute to the overall community of the Assurance Global Shared Services, for example in areas like training, cultural events, recruitment, development of new templates and techniques.
