We have an urgent opening for our leading client in FMCG for the Position of Assistant Manager-Maintenance.
Reports to Technical Manager.
A. KEY PURPOSE
- To ensure that the manufacturing facility delivers as per plan throughout the year with minimal disruptions and at minimal cost.
- Responsible for Plant Maintenance & Utilities with the objective of providing high quality products in a timely and cost effective manner. Should take lead in executing Improvement projects linked to plant performance.
B. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To ensure implementation of all Maintenance policies and procedures in the manufacturing (Dry Mix, Frozen Areas & Ready to Eat Category products) activities.
2. To implement the preventive maintenance program.
3. To ensure all breakdowns are attended to promptly by the Maintenance Team.
4. To formulate & implement spare management policy.
5. To implement all safety policies at shop floor.
6. To formulate & implant all corrective action plans for respective audits carried out by various auditors.
7. To carry out the analysis for all the break downs with the help of specialist & operators.
8. To train the operators on all manufacturing equipment operational practices, preventive maint. & trouble shooting processes.
9. To formulate & implement the down time capturing & improvement procedures and further report the performance on daily basis.
10. To formulate the budgets for power & fuels, R & M and capital investments.
11. Work towards sustainability of Energy, water & waste management.
12. Make measures to ensure reliability of the equipment’s.
13. To make the indents for capital projects with all requirements & get approval for same.
14. To formulate & implant the tracking system for projects.
15. To assist in execution of Projects.
16. To maintain effective shop floor discipline and to achieve the best results from the available resources.
17. To formulate & implement cost tracking mechanism & maintain the costs as per budget.
18. To generate the Monthly Maint., report, Monthly Engg. Report, Monthly EHS report.
19. To maintain machinery to ensure optimum availability, minimal downtime, maximum efficiency and maximum capacity utilization.
20. To maintain the set quality standards in the Manufacturing department i.e. CGMP, HACCP & other quality requirements.
21. To ensure that the manufacturing facility achieves its production targets as per rolling plan and dispatch schedules as per laid down quality specifications.
22. To ensure regulatory requirements of MSEB, MPCB, MIDC and Weights and measures are complied with.
23. To monitor & increase the productivity through continuous process improvements in the manufacturing area.
24. To ensure smooth Industrial Relations in Plant Premises
25. To act as Mentor / Guide for all Team Members & Colleagues
26. Lead CI Projects & act as Coach for Teams
27. Ensure all Records & documentation related to function is created in time & maintained properly.
28. Admin Work like OT Cards, Leave Mgmt., Appraisals, Rotation, Shift scheduling, Comp. off Planning, Disciplinary issues.
29. Coordination with other functions as & when required.

B.E. Mechanical \ Electrical with sound knowledge of Engineering around setting up & implementation of Maintenance systems and about 6 – 10 years of experience with reputed FMCG / Pharmaceutical industries. Person should have sound technical knowledge & should have hands on experience.
