Sr. Key Responsibility Descriptive Parameters
1. Design new indices
1. Conduct research to understand market needs & global indices trends so as to assist in better creation or customisation of indices
2. Identify index theme and develop rules for selection of companies and index calculation methodology for the creation or customisation of indices
3. Interact with target participants (AMC, AIF, Insurance companies, trading members etc.) for taking feedback on new indices or revision in existing indices
4. Coordinate with IT team for creation of relevant application towards supporting the smooth running of the indices
5. Conduct historical calculation of the identified companies for analysing trends and provide relevant data to investors
6. Create fact sheets and methodology documents
2. Support to Business Development (Licensing indices and selling index data)
1. Interact with market participants to educate them on current suite of indices and collect feedback so as to improve offerings
2. Seek regular feedback from the existing clients that sources index licenses & data service of IISL for providing solution and to improve the customer satisfaction survey score on a year on year basis
3. Interact with the potential and existing domestic and international clients for business promotion as a part of the index licensing and data sales activities to achieve the annual business target
4. Support business development team in meeting their targets
Role Description for: Assistant Manager - IISL Product Development
To actively support in the creation of new equity, debt and commodity indices
3. Maintenance of indices
Guide operations team, in case of any hindrance faced by the team in their activities
Reporting operational activities / updates to HOD in periodic meetings for team update
5. Others activities
1. Maintain and improve customer satisfaction
2. Process optimization & Cost Reduction initiatives - Process refinement, new process introduction, improving efficiency, reducing man-hours
3. Team KRA tracking
Note: Additional responsibilities may be added from time to time depending on organisational requirements
Performance measures
- Financial measures - Revenues from new products, clients, new products & new markets
- Delivery measures - No. of new & innovative indices generated, no. of financial products benchmarked to the new indices, Accuracy & TAT for Board decision implementations
- Customer measures - customer engagement score
Qualification and Experience
- CA/BE, CFA/MBA Finance from an accredited institution
- Experience in index development, equity, debt research, commodity exchanges
