The role (Individual contributor) will assist in identifying instances of non-compliance; determining the cause of the failure; testing key controls; identifying new risks; contacting the appropriate team for resolution; documenting responses and following the event through to successful remediation or escalation to manager.
Reviewing process and procedural changes, implementing risk management and compliance initiatives, and performing analysis on loss events.
Mitigating errors and incidents through analysis and remediation of root causes with subsequent process improvement resulting from lessons learned.
Assist/ Lead the risk assessment, scoping and planning of a review.
Design and execute tests to validate control features, which may require data analysis and re-performance of processes.
Document the results of the test steps executed
Assist/Lead in presenting the scope, progress and results of the review to business stakeholders
Ensure compliance to ISO & ISMS standards.
Under the manager's guidance, performing special projects.
Be able to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
Education and Experience
A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
5-7 years of relevant experience in Investment Management and/or other financial institutions, preferably in Operational Risk Management.
Superior communications and interpersonal skills.
Ability to influence and gain leverage from departments around the globe.
Highly analytical with keen business acumen and a self-starter with the ability to work both independently and in groups.
Business Analysis/Project management experiences a plus.
Previous experience in a Shared Service Centre environment is preferable.
Ability to interact with all layers in the organization at group and entity level.
Ability to speak up and to propose improvements in processes
