Special requirements:
- Experience in financial modeling
- Implementation experience & working knowledge in any ERP is mandatory
- Minimum 4.5 yrs exp.
- Qualif - Finance qualification mandatory, Bcom, Mcom, MBA Finance, (CA , ICWA - 2.5 yrs minimum )
The successful completion of all Group System Conversion is essential for Finance to gain the full benefit of the new General Ledger (GL) platform. It involves all group business systems like HUB etc sending business events directly to the new GL where accounting and business rules will convert these into transactions and events for posting to the GL and detail level for reporting.
Job description:
- The jobholder will be part of a team responsible for integrating Group Systems with FTP. He or She will understand the business and downstream system requirements and will create business rules that convert the business events into arrangements in FTP.
- He or she will also participate in the testing of these rules along with other FTP functionalities. Also he or she needs to work with the FTP testing teams to make them understand the functionalities of the group systems that are getting connected to FTP platform.
- The analysis and implementation is done from Finance function point of view. We need someone having sound understanding of Finance/Accounting and Systems architecture.
Responsibilities include:
- Effective communication with HK and UK teams
- Analyze and design data sourcing solutions to bring data to/from Group systems to General Ledger - support with data sourcing, data modeling, accounting schematic for the new architecture.
- Analyze and design the accounting/business rules based on existing product and financial systems as part of Rules Design - Design and perform testing of rules.
- Data sourcing of source systems and downstream reporting systems.
- The analysis and mapping of accounting events and data attributes
- Development of business rules
- Testing of accounting outputs posted to FTP and extracted to downstream reporting systems.
- Working with Finance teams to verify accounting schematics
- Work to standardize and improve reference data names and definitions for site implementations
- Provision of a prescribed Finance data requirements, clearly identifying sources, transactional versus reference data
Skills/Experience Required
- Finance Qualification preferably with Finance Systems experience (Or systems qualification with Finance Domain experience).
- Have worked as a Business Analyst preferably in a Finance Systems project for 2 years with an overall experience of 5 years.
- Experience of analysis and implementation preferred.
- Ability to work and deliver under pressure of tight timelines
- Understanding of accounting rules
- Effective presentation and communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong Preference for candidates that have worked on FTP (Finance Transformation Platform)
