- The position would be responsible for performing the offshore responsibilities of the External/ Financial Reporting wherein he/she will be required to perform reporting process i.e. preparation of P&L, BS, Trial Balance and various other schedules, and reporting the same to Regional/ Group Consolidation teams for the purpose of preparation of annual reports of the bank.

The primary purpose is to meet the business need for through:

- Preparation of accurate financial reports as per IFRS, etc

- Meeting various other regulatory reporting requirements like FSA, BOE, etc

- Effective commentary reflecting the impact and direction of key internal and external business drivers.

- Responsible for meeting the defined SLAs, managing good relationship with the customer, maintaining and developing robust controls in the process.

Principal Accountabilities: Key activities and decision making areas

Impact on the Business

- Collate, consolidate financial data/ reports using financial systems

- Analyze business performance and provide variance commentaries with business drivers

- Close coordination with customer sites to understand business reasons for key variances in P&L and B/S

- Acquire knowledge in banking/financial services

- Identify opportunities for development and drive changes independently

- Co-ordinate, work-closely with in-country finance teams across the customer region

- Ensure accuracy and completeness of analysis and data integrity

- Respond to queries from senior group level management and auditors as required

Leadership & Teamwork

- Support and ensure timely and accurate analytical reviews in line with onshore requirements,

- A team player and ensure knowledge sharing within the team and taking onus for personal development covering product knowledge, technical and soft skills,

Operational Effectiveness & Control

- Ensure right first time process checks in place

- Ensure control process are in place to maintain data integrity

- Implement processes to validate work carried out at a macro/micro level

Typical KPI’s and Targets

- Timely and accurate month and quarterly close for customer region as per agreed KPI with business partner

- Timely and accurate reviews with minimal queries against required deadlines

- Feedback from direct reports and other colleagues

- Timely and accurate analytical review within required deadlines

- Minimal data integrity issues

- Zero control issues

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

- CA with 2 to 5 years of experience

- CWA /CPA /CFA/ MBA (Finance)/ PGDBM-Finance with at least 3+ years of post-qualification experience or commerce graduates with at least 5-8 years of experience

- Experience in closing and reporting/ accounting/financial reporting

- Exposure of IFRS/ IAS will be an added advance

- Excellent communication skills

- Global Exposure: Ability to interact with multiple cultures / multi-tasking

- Experience on multiple system applications

- Proficiency in MS office applications/ excellent hand on experience in Excel is must.

- Analytical bent of mind
