To lead and manage the offshore Finance team in New Delhi responsible for preparation, production and review of consolidated Management Information (both quantitative & qualitative) for GMO HTS Finance – BI&A and to ensure ongoing service delivery per the agreed SLA
Principal Accountabilities:
Service Delivery
- Key responsibility is the production and review of HTS Monthly Performance Report (‘EMR’) and other related reporting in a timely, accurate and consistent format/manner.
- Analyse the results of the process, investigate significant variances. Responsible for investigate any abnormal variances compared to previous months and coordinate with On-shore team to resolve all open items.
- Supporting the semi-annual ROP process (at the discretion of the on-shore BI&A team).
- Prepare ad-hoc requests quickly but also be able to prioritise these requests, ensuring these are agreed with the Head of BI&A.
- Ensure all processes are correctly and thoroughly documented (SOPs) and have been agreed with the Head of BI&A.
- Understand business requirements and interpret data to provide meaningful analysis to facilitate business decision-making.
- Maintain monthly reporting timetable for both routine and ad-hoc tasks
- Identify opportunities for staff development and drive changes independently
- Continuous review of processes with the objective of improving the service delivery timeframes and identify areas of improvement
- Ensure operational efficiency and higher productivity utilising, where possible.
- Ensure service delivery of the designated finance processes per the standards set out in agreed SLAs within the bank's HTS - Service Delivery function operating framework taking into account key operational risk (including people & processes).
Skills/Experience Required
- BCom /M Com/ CA(Inter)/ CWA (Inter): 5-8 years, CA/CWA/MBA: 2-7 years in Financial Control, Management Accounting and Group-level Consolidation.
- Strong working knowledge of Financial Systems is key (e.g. Saracen, Cognos, Hyperion, TM1 or similar)
- Experience in Data mining, analysis, Financial Statements.
- Ability to understand, map and change reporting process-flows
- Good communication and ability to interact with multiple employee levels/business partners, etc.
- Possess strong analytical and lateral thinking skills.
- Result driven.
- Strong relationship management skills across a diverse organisation
- Flexibility to work in accordance with Business requirements – this may include working outside of normal hours (E)
- Ability to learn and is highly motivated to perform at the highest standard.
- Must have excellent attention to detail and work within tight deadlines ensuring a complete and accurate flow of information's between stakeholders.
- Must be experienced in working under pressure on multiple process improvement projects
