Preparation and execution of all project lifecycle activities including:
- Working with stakeholders to define the terms of reference.
- Determine the business requirements. This would involve a thorough consideration of all implications of these requirements to the business, including the identification of any potential issues or functional omissions
- Fully planning all deliveries.
- Assisting with documenting the analysis carried out, (this may include for example gap analysis, the production of process flows, use cases and scenarios).
The project manager must be able to fully explain all process flows to relevant stakeholders:
- Identifying analysis and design issues/risks on a timely basis and escalate as appropriate
- Being the ‘translator’ between the business and IT, providing business expertise when required.
- Preparation and execution of all activities within the plan including testing, status reporting and compiling user procedures and training packs.
- As in all roles, a high degree of flexibility is required. Projects sometimes involve travel and/or long hours at critical stages in the lifecycle
Qualifications
Essential:
- Degree from top tier university
Preferred:
- Formal project management / business analysis training / qualifications
- CA / CFA / MBA for top tier institute
Experience:
Essential:
- 5-9 years post qualification experience with strong preference for Investment banking (Product Control, Finance etc) and / or Top tier Management consultancy firm having worked on big projects
