Responsibilities will include:
- Understand and ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws, ordinances, regulations, GSE guidelines and client requirements
- Understand and ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements specific to online media
- Maintain a matrix of applicable laws; ensure proper usage of the matrix and adherence to the requirements documented within the matrix
- Organize and drive legal and compliance projects including due diligence requests, regulatory exams and audits and CFPB preparedness
- Work with operations to maintain compliant business practices and appropriately handle escalations
- Test and monitor the business unit's legal and contractual compliance
- Provide reporting on the compliance performance of the business unit
- Responsible for reviewing and responding to queries from state or local regulators
- Work with operations and marketing to respond to inquiries and complaints received through social media channels
- Establish a foundation for continuous improvement, incorporating internal, external and client feedback utilizing technology solutions
- Develop and operationalize compliance policies and procedures
- Provide guidance and approval of forms, templates, and documents as well as key policies, processes and procedures
- Report compliance metrics timely and accurately
- Integrate compliance activities with the process framework established through Operational Excellence activities
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate has 5-7 years experience working in a similar capacity, and a demonstrated ability to organize research, and establish and implement procedures consistent with published guidelines. This person will exhibit the following qualities:
- Four-year degree from an accredited college required
- SOX Compliance, CISA and CISSP Experience
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and flexibility, as well as the ability multi-task and work effectively with global cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with technology product development teams a plus
- Experience with managing social media risks in a business capacity is desirable
- Experience using Westlaw, AllRegs and CounselorLaw to perform legal research a plus
- Must be comfortable operating in multiple technology platforms; proficiency with Microsoft Applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint required, experience with Protiviti, DocuSign and/or Crystal Reports a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required with ability to communicate effectively with state boards, commissions, and regulators
- Strong process orientation and good analytical skills; Lean or Six Sigma experience is desirable
