About the Job :
- The Content head is at the heart of shaping and driving the online presence of our brand.
- If you have a knack for turning dull, everyday topics into compelling narratives that engage, entertain, and convert-then we want you.
- This role calls for someone who's not afraid to bring personality into their writing, has a strong understanding of SEO, and thrives on analytics to optimize content performance.
- You'll be leading a team of talented writers, meme lords, and creative thinkers to deliver high-quality content that speaks to the right audience-startup founders, decision-makers at micro-businesses, and entrepreneurs looking to scale.
What You Will Do :
Craft Engaging Content:
- Create engaging, clear, and concise content aimed at our target audience-primarily startup founders and key decision-makers at micro-businesses.
- Write articles, blog posts, social media copy, and other marketing materials that are not only informative but also relatable and engaging.
Team Leadership:
- Lead a team of writers, content creators, and creative minds.
- Your goal is to foster an environment of collaboration, creativity, and growth, while ensuring the team consistently delivers high-quality content that aligns with brand goals.
SEO Expertise:
- Ensure all content is search-engine optimized to rank effectively on Google and other search platforms.
- This includes keyword research, on-page SEO tactics, and a deep understanding of content algorithms and trends to boost organic reach.
Understand Your Audience:
- Write in a voice that resonates with entrepreneurs and business owners.
- No jargon or fluff-just straight, relatable, and actionable content that helps our audience solve problems or make decisions.
Moment Marketing:
- Leverage timely, trending topics (whether they're cultural moments or industry shifts) to create content that feels fresh and connected to the now.
Analyze & Improve:
- Use data and analytics to measure content performance across various platforms.
- Dive deep into engagement metrics, conduct quarterly content audits, and adjust strategies to continuously improve performance, user engagement, and conversion rates.
Asset Management:
- Oversee and manage key content assets, including our website, social media profiles, internal communications, and any other marketing collateral that flows through the department.
- You'll ensure consistent messaging, tone, and quality across all touchpoints.
What We're Looking For:
Experience:
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in content marketing, ideally in a B2B environment.
- Experience working with startups or small businesses is a big plus.
Strong Writing & Editing Skills:
- You should have a proven ability to craft engaging, clear, and creative content.
- Your ability to capture a reader's attention and make complex ideas accessible will be critical.
SEO Savvy:
- A strong understanding of SEO principles and how to apply them to written content, including keyword research, on-page SEO, and content optimization.
Creativity:
- Whether it's writing a witty social post or coming up with out-of-the-box content ideas, we want someone who's not afraid to experiment and try new things.
- Bonus points if you're a meme enthusiast with a knack for incorporating humor into your content strategy.
Leadership:
- Proven ability to lead a team of writers and creatives.
- You'll be someone who inspires and guides your team while also ensuring deadlines are met and content quality is top-notch.
Emotional Impact:
- You have the ability to make people feel something with your words-whether it's a spark of insight, a laugh, or maybe even a tear (the good kind).
- Empathy is key.
Analytical Mindset:
- Comfortable using data to inform your decisions.
- You'll need to measure, analyze, and optimize content based on real user engagement, performance metrics, and feedback.
- Degree in English, Mass Communication, or Related Field:
- While we value real-world experience above all, a degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, or a similar field is preferred.
Sarcasm & Wit:
- A good sense of humor and the ability to inject some personality into your writing is a must.
- Think of it as content with a side of attitude
