Key Responsibilities:
- Vessel Planning & Approval: Coordinate vessel plans for each service with branch offices and ensure effective monitoring to achieve the set targets.
- Obtain approvals and oversee plan execution.
- Inventory & Supply Management: Analyze inventory levels for each location, ensuring a balance between booking prospects and inventory availability.
- Proactively address deficits by requesting inventory or proposing repositioning strategies for surplus stocks.
- Cost & Service Adjustments: Identify any additional costs related to service changes or space adjustments.
- Obtain approvals for such costs while reporting anomalies and adjusting strategies a s required.
- Customer & Market Engagement: Build relationships with major customers, gather market feedback, and identify opportunities for business growth in new service areas.
- Business Development: Supervise and expand the line business in new areas, with a focus on enhancing Reefer business in India.
- Strategic Reporting: Provide timely reports on inventory and any critical developments to the management team.
- Collaborate to develop solutions for continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience: 12 - 16 years in operations and line business management within the shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding industry.
- Preference will be given to candidates who are Master Mariners.
- Skills: Strong strategic, operational, and analytical skills, with the ability to oversee multi-regional business operations.
- Excellent in market analysis, inventory management, and customer relationship m a n a g e m e n t .
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading and coordinating teams across locations, with a focus on achieving operational and commercial objectives
