About the Job

- The Marketing Specialist for Americas is responsible for proposing, designing, creating, implementing, and measuring marketing programs and campaigns that build awareness and create demand for Akamai solutions across industries. The Marketing Programs Specialist will also have the ability to translate marketing success into identifying sales results. This role is highly cross-functional and supports the acceleration of Akamai’s mobile, cloud and security solutions.

- This position requires strong written and analytical skills, project management, interpersonal, communication, and content creation skills, as well as experience creating and implementing demand creation and marketing programs. The Marketing Program Specialist reports to the Senior Manager of Marketing based in Bangalore and will partner with Industry Marketing Leaders in the United States.

About the Team

- The Marketing Centre of Excellence in Bangalore is a multifunctional marketing team that focuses on multiple marketing disciplines for the global marketing organizations including market intelligence, account development, creative and web services, marketing campaign management and marketing operations.

- You will be a part of the highly visible and dynamic team of 50 marketing professionals who are helping Akamai with growth opportunities by intelligently applying marketing principles in a highly dynamic market place.

Responsibilities

- Propose, design, create, implement, and measure marketing programs and campaigns that build awareness and create demand for Akamai solutions in the mobile, cloud and security market place.

- Ability to translate the value proposition of Akamai solutions into specific business opportunities for customers and prospects across the key industries

- Analyze and report on campaign results; recommend and make improvements to demand creation programs based upon the data

- Work with the Web Services team to track and analyze traffic to campaigns; recommend and implement approved modifications to campaign content

- Create and managing the cross industry marketing program calendar and write content that will create multi touch campaigns for specific solutions across industries

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate campaign results into improvements to future campaigns

- Outstanding content development skills, with demonstrable experience creating content for presentations, webinars, email campaigns and newsletters, social media outlets, website, blogs, etc.

- Outstanding program management, problem-solving and marketing program skill; experience managing the productivity of external vendors

- Ability to effectively gauge project duration, deliver on deadline and within budget, and manage a high-volume workload

- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, results-driven team environment, with the ability to build positive win-win relationships with colleagues

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Bachelors degree plus 3-5 years experience in marketing or marketing communications/PR/Advertising
