About the Job:
- We are looking for an exceptional Marketing Manager for Akamai's Emerging Customer Group and Inside Sales Division.
- The position is responsible for driving the strategy, planning and execution of activities to build awareness, generate demand and grow Akamai's business with its install base of mid-market customers globally.
- Emerging Customers Group operates as a hub for Akamai's small and mid-tier customers focused on winning and growing their business with Akamai by building deep customer relationships and driving sales, marketing, account management and technical services.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute on targeted marketing plans after doing a thorough analysis of the customer base
- Stay in tune with regional and industry trends globally, specially North America, and make recommendations to achieve divisional sales objectives
- Forecast, evaluate, measure and report on marketing campaign effectiveness and ROI.
- Work cross-functionally to oversee the timely execution of the marketing plan.
- Ensure all activities achieve Akamai standards and remain within budget
Basic Qualification & Skills:
- Strong analytical skills and versed in different marketing models, philosophies on how to expand penetration in an install base of over 1200 customers across multiple industries, globally
- Ability to think strategically and drive segment specific go-to-market shifts/initiatives focused on small and mid-sized customers
- Ability to come up with creative ideas to drive awareness and demand generation by marketing within the customer base
- Ability to execute and get stuff done. Work with product and industry marketing in Cambridge and the sales team in Bangalore to get programs implemented
- Proactive, confident, assertive and entrepreneurial. Self starter is a must.
- Excellent project management skills with an ability to prioritize and delegate
- Proven ability to work in a demanding, fast paced environment and manage a high workload.
- Bachelor's and /or Masters Degree in engineering, economics, science or business
- 6 - 8 years of experience in B2B marketing in a technology company
