GM/DGM Schools (Strategy & Operations)
PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Deputy General Manager (DGM) / General Manager (GM) for Schools (Strategy & Operations) plays a pivotal role in the effective management and strategic development of the schools. This position combines operational oversight with strategic planning to ensure the schools' excellence in academics, administration, and overall performance. The GM/DGM collaborates closely with the Director of Schools to achieve the institution's educational objectives and maintain operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning:- Collaborate with school leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan aligned with the school's mission and vision.
- Analyze industry trends, market competition, and demographic data to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
Operational Management:- Oversee day-to-day operations of the schools, including facilities, staff, and administrative functions.
- Implement and enhance operational processes to optimize efficiency and resource utilization.
- Ensure compliance with local educational regulations and accreditation standards.
Academic Excellence:- Work closely with academic leaders to maintain and enhance the quality of educational programs and curricula.
- Monitor and assess academic performance and student outcomes, implementing improvements as needed.
- Support the development of innovative teaching and learning methods.
Financial Management:- Develop and manage the annual budget of the schools, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Identify potential revenue streams and cost-saving opportunities.
Staff Development:- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of administrators and support staff.
- Foster a positive work environment, emphasizing professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with HR on hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
Parent and Community Engagement:- Cultivate positive relationships with parents, students, and the local community.
- Address concerns and feedback from stakeholders in a responsive and effective manner.
- Promote the reputation of the schools and engagement through community outreach.
Technology Integration:- Assess and implement technology solutions to enhance school operations and learning experiences.
- Stay updated on emerging educational technologies and their potential applications.
- Ensure the schools' compliance with safety, security, and health regulations.
- Develop emergency response protocols and safety procedures.
Qualifications:- Master's degree in Education, Business Administration and/or PHD
- 25 years of experience in management of Group of Schools, with a track record of successful leadership.
- Strong understanding of educational systems, pedagogy, and administrative processes.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Financial acumen and budget management experience.
- Knowledge of relevant educational regulations and accreditation standards.
