PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Deputy General Manager (DGM) / General Manager (GM) of Finance & Accounts in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is responsible for managing and optimizing financial resources dedicated to CSR activities. This role involves strategic planning, budgeting, financial analysis, compliance, and reporting related to CSR initiatives. The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective utilization of funds for social and environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Budgeting:
- Develop annual CSR budgets in alignment with the organization's CSR strategy and goals.
- Monitor budget utilization and provide regular financial reports to senior management.
- Ensure efficient allocation of funds across various CSR projects and activities.
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Prepare financial reports, statements, and analysis specific to CSR activities.
- Assess the financial impact of CSR projects and initiatives.
- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance the financial efficiency of CSR programs.
Compliance and Governance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant CSR laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls for CSR fund management.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address any CSR-related legal issues.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including CSR partners and beneficiaries.
- Foster relationships with regulatory authorities, NGOs, and other CSR-related organizations.
Risk Management:
- Identify financial risks associated with CSR initiatives and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and assess the impact of external factors on CSR finances.
Audit and Evaluation:
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors for CSR-related audits.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of CSR projects and their financial sustainability.
Capacity Building:
- Develop and mentor a team of finance professionals dedicated to CSR finance and accounting.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant plus Company Secretary (CA + CS) or Chartered Accountant
- Proven experience in finance and accounting, with a minimum of 25 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of CSR principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent financial analysis and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
