- Proven competence in business development. Driving new seller acquisition for Ajio Marketplace . The person would build and drive a team to add quality selection and supply.
Key Elements of the Role Include:
- Understanding the sources of Fashion& Lifestyle supply locally. Ability to identify selection gaps and drive execution to fulfil these.
- Seller Acquisition at scale.
- Network with Brands and entities to establish a potential line-up for future supply.
- Manage and Plan regional New seller footprint and achieve Targets as per AOP
- Drive Cluster Teams to achieve Seller acquisition targets.
Job Description :
Business Development :
- Identify relevant selection across defined regions, understand consumer demand trends and build consistent supply of new selection in accordance.
- Build a business development network to facilitate future scale and size of acquisition.
- Competition mapping to ensure a Market leader position in acquisition of Brands/Sellers - Product Categories.
- Drive and manage team of Business development executives. Ensure Quality pipeline of Prospective sellers from region.
Business Planning :
- Build strong relationships with Brands, Sellers.
- Continuously assess business performance. Establish a Tracking cadence across cluster Teams.
- Understanding the Seller's business, store environment and working with Ajio stakeholders for deploying the right solution for the Seller. This would need one to have strong product orientation and abilities to work with internal product and engineering teams and the merchant's tech and functional teams to accomplish this objective
- Work with stakeholders and provide right on ground inputs to enable the solutions for on boarding, merchandising.
Cost Centre Management:
- Create a blueprint for Salesforce incentivization
- Budgeting for spends under Mass acquisition at a monthly/annual level
- Plan, track and optimize these spends on a consistent basis
Desired Skills and Experience :
- MBA from Tier-1 Institutes: ISB/IIMs/XLRI/SP Jain/MDI/FMS or Equivalent
- Minimum 7 years of overall experience
- A significant part of this experience should be across E-Commerce/ Digital Payments/Retail sectors in the Business development/Key Account Management/Category Management domains
