Business Strategy Analyst

Purpose :

The main responsibility of the role is to drive revenues, profitability, order-book, process improvement and business analytics while working closely with the Director for Enterprise and Government Business to steer the Business Strategy. The present portfolio of the EGB business is Rs 4000 crore annually across the Data, Mobile and Fixed Line business.

At the Strategic level, this role encompasses strategy formulation for the entire EGB and their end-to-end implementation. The role also has primary ownership for driving the Strategic programs and priorities of the business with the cross functional teams, keeping the Director and leadership team in tune with milestones, roadblocks and ensuring resolutions through discussions. A view of the same has to be presented to the MD and his queries and clarifications addressed.

At the Operational level, this role is responsible for creation and execution of the entire business lifecycle i.e., AOP preparation and distribution - driving order-book across regions for Data, Mobile, Fixed Line - Ensuring implementation - Collections - Revenue and Cost Analytics - Process improvements while addressing roadblocks/improvements at each level.

Deliverables :

Revenue & Profitability :

- Driving the entire business strategy and operations at Airtel EGB along with the Director

- Responsible for top-line as well as bottom-line of this segment for Airtel across the Data, Mobile and Fixed line business.

- Weekly call with the regional COOs to steer the target achievements of order-book, project implementation, collection and gross additions across 2G, 3G, 4G and Dongle categories by circle.

- Formulating and implementing projects to improve the profitability of loss making products.

Business Strategy :

- Devising detailed strategic programs for the enterprise business which focus on reorganizing business priorities.

- Defining the KRAs of the EGB leadership team in line with the Strategic business goals

- Formulating strategies of GTM, product, profitability, etc. with the leadership team.

- Identifying and implementing Process improvements across CLM, order-booking methodology and other processes.

Business Analytics :

- Preparing the AOP with market-sizing, penetration, market-share analytics and revenue build-up for the next year with regional and product-wise distribution.

- Analyzing P&L of products, Data-funnel, Order-book, Project implementation, Revenue, Churn, Rate-renewal and collections

- Devising improvement plans for Revenue, EBIT and projects running behind schedule.

- Travelling to regions to guide the regional reviews and propagate the business agenda to the local teams.

Sales Operations & Review :

- Evaluation, discussion & closure of large business proposals from the point of view of scope, specifications, strategy, profitability, T&C in partnership with CXOs & the regional sales team.

- Approving the business cases for fixed line factoring Capex, Payback period, NR/GR, profitability, etc.

- Conducting business reviews and discussions with the Airtel leadership team and within the Enterprise segment.

- Cross functional liasoning with the Customer service, Finance, Supply Chain, Network, IT and HR teams at Head Office as well as Regions in driving the business issues/agendas.
