These channels, powered by technology, work in tandem to enable us to solve the problems faced by farmers at scale. And we are just getting started.
Funded by prominent investors like Chiratae Venture Partners, Aavishkaar Ventures, Accel Partners, Schroders Capital, Evolvence Group, Hero Enterprise, and CDC we are rapidly growing our agri-input platform and making strategic investments to solve other large farmer problems like market linkages and access to credit.
The Role : As Category Manager - Farm Implements, you will be responsible for:
- Own and deliver monthly, quarterly and annual budgets for the category and LOB.
- Establish each store as a micro-market and identify the set of products relevant for that market.
- Build a product pipeline for each micro market and onboard the vendors for the same within the defined timelines.
- Design the channel margins and product pricing for each micro market based on the competitive landscape.
- Work closely with sales teams to ensure timely placement of the products and liquidation before the season ends.
- Work closely with the sales & marketing team to ensure that the relevant products have visibility to the farmers.
- Improve customer experience by enabling after-sales service through the stores and build after-sales relationships with service providers.
Qualifications we look for :
- A hustler who can move fast, fail fast, learn fast, and execute business at speed.
- 5-7 years of work experience in farm machinery, implements, or tools industry in retail/ dealers' network.
- Exposure to more than 1-2 states preferably among Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh.
- A good storyteller who can motivate a set of retailers or farmers in a meeting.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the rural lands of the mentioned states to gather business intelligence.
- Good understanding of MS Excel and the basic functions to build insights out of the data.
