Agrograde is an agri-tech start-up enabling post-harvest automation in the agriculture space. Our state-of-the-art grading-sorting-packing machines improve the marketability of the produce and make way to a fair and transparent digital trade. As the Indian agriculture space is adopting technology at blitz speeds, we are looking for someone to head our sales and marketing in Maharashtra.

Role: Sales Head - Maharashtra

Reporting Location: Pune

Responsibilities:

The Sales Head shall be responsible for sales and business development activities by researching and developing marketing opportunities, generating leads and implementing sales plans for Agrograde. Following is the list of responsibilities expected to be handled by the Sales Head :

- Responsible for executing GTM strategies, Marketing campaigns, and developing Sales channels

- Responsible for delivering the top line and EBITDA objectives

- Build a strong team of Sales Operations to deliver excellence in execution.

- Should be able to Travel and would require achieving his/her Sales Target Quarterly

- Prepare techno-commercial proposals for the solution and also lead the negotiations with the customer

- Responsible for market penetration, collections, and building a sustainable business.

- Managing the complete sales cycle from business development and customer acquisition to receipt of payments.

- Conducting and organizing sales promotional activities and campaigns as a part of customer acquisitions and market development efforts to increase growth and revenue.

- Managing all sales channels

- Establish a network and build a good rapport with new clients.

- Working alongside farmers, FPOs, traders, exporters, institutions, and aggregators to evaluate customer experience and scope of product improvement.

- Cross-functional coordination needs to work closely with Category, Tech, and Product Marketing.

- Conceptualize strategic business plans that expand the company's customer base.

- Present relevant sales & operations reports and forecasts to the management team.

- Develop and maintain an efficient distribution network and efficient routing to ensure timely deliveries and superior levels of service to company customers.

- Coordinate the execution of marketing & promotional activities in the marketplace to derive the maximum benefit out of such promotional initiatives.

- Analyse the impact of such promotions and submit reports to the Management for assessment and evaluation.

- Analyse the social impact achieved through the adoption of technology

Requirements:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or MBA or an equivalent degree in any other course

- 7 - 10 years of experience in sales of technology products and solutions

- Excellent track records in consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets & KPIs.

- Pleasant personality with excellent interpersonal relationships and communication.

- Strong business acumen sense and industry expertise.

- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.

- Excellent leadership, coaching and people management skills.

- A good team player with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.

- Able to work independently and take initiative.

- Should understand the agritech space and be aware of the latest technologies being used in warehouse automation. A background in automation or technology would be an advantage.
