Famy Group is founded by the Taparia Family from Mumbai - India, and led by Mr. J.P. Taparia. The Group commenced its journey in 1987, with incorporation of Famy Care Ltd., with sharp focus on womens reproductive healthcare segment and a vision to improve the quality of women's health through research and innovation.
Over the next two decades, Famy Care became a global leader in a wide range of contraceptive pills, injectable and intrauterine devices and went on to become the worlds largest generic manufacturer of oral contraceptive pills. In 2015, the Group entered into a strategic transaction with Mylan Inc., one of the top five generic pharma companies globally, for sale of its womens healthcare business for ~USD 800 mn. This has been among the most successful exits in the pharma industry of India.
Since then the Group has continued to build other businesses in the pharmaceutical, consumer, health & wellness space, besides being one of the most well-respected Family Offices in India.
The Group has also created another valuable business in NCE & 505 b (2) space and exited in 2022 for $325mn in a very short time

Job Description:
Job Role : AGM/ Senior Associate - Strategy (M&A)
Reporting To : Management
Department : CEOs Office
Job Location : Mumbai
Job Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the Chairman and Senior Management team to drive the corporate strategy and long-range plan, and creating buy-in for the strategy across the Company and with the Senior Leadership Team, including evaluation of various opportunities & risks for investments in the healthcare space.
- Integral part of the team for formulating the vision, strategy, business plan and support requirements necessary to pursue major strategic deals and partnerships in healthcare space.
- Leads and executes M&A initiatives in close partnership with the Business Leads including outreach to potential targets/partners and negotiation/execution of the deals.
- Lead sourcing, diligence, and transaction execution.
- Conduct market research, including compiling and synthesizing comparable transactions
- Managing the projects in connection with transactions, including managing the efficient use of internal and external legal resources, and ensuring relevant deal information flow and appropriate coordination between legal and the other cross-functional deal team members
- Provides regular presentations in various company forums, including board meetings.
- Manages a portfolio of strategic projects and initiatives; maintains responsibility and leadership for development of framework and approach, deliverables, timelines, and management of stakeholder relationships and expectations.
- Researches and utilizes market information and strategic intelligence to develop market analyses, business plans and support strategic initiatives.
Job Expectation- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Successful track record as a corporate development professional, including identification, evaluation, negotiation, and completion of M&A or other equivalent transactions which were critical to the growth of the organization.
2. Strong Finance or strategy background with an ability to evaluate market opportunities focusing on Healthcare sector. Ability to build robust valuation models.
3. Experience in Investment Banking, consulting or in a corporate M&A/Strategy role is preferred
4. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
