Roles & Responsibility:

- Planning and execution of R&D related to wastewater treatment and solid waste management

- Conduct wastewater treatability studies & studies on composting of solid waste

- Collect information on scientific advances related to environment, mining and energy sectors

- Compile information related to scientific advances / updates by reviewing scientific journals, research articles; prepare notes for management understanding

- Product & process development

- Conduct research related to product development for odour removal, reduction of pollutants in wastewater ; oxidant dosage optimization

- Development of innovative products (Bioculture, etc.)

- Development of bio-cultures / microbial consortium for removal of odour, enhancing composting efficiency, enhancing wastewater treatment efficiency Development of technologies in line with emerging market requirements

- Development of zero liquid discharge systems

- Development of technologies that generate less sludge / minimize sludge generation .

- Other tasks assigned from time to time
