Role Overview:

Responsible for managing all operations related to manufacturing, materials, facilities., distribution, engineering and maintenance to ensure smooth, continuous, cost effective and controlled manufacture of products in support of the business' forecasts and inventory goals. At this level, the position has a greater degree of impact on the business results and typically, responsibility for managing a group of professionals.

Job Responsibilities:

- Support the Operations Head in formulating Plant Business Strategy and ensure business objectives are delivered in line with Strategy.

- Prepare and manage the budget in line with company's financial policies and procedures.

- Plan for the production activities to be undertaken and create a dashboard for these production activities so that the tasks to be performed by various employees of the production department become clear to them and the targets to be achieved also become clear.

- Define, propose and implement the annual production plan for the plant in line with sales forecast. Meet the budgeted volume and ensure product availability as per market demand.

- Review Daily, Weekly and monthly working and customer service level matrices to ensure that the production activity moves smoothly and satisfy the company specifications and customer needs.

- Hold daily morning meeting to keep a constant track on the production activities to ensure that the things are moving as planned, to check deviations and take corrective actions and make changes to the plans if the need be.

- Continuously review the regulatory laws and how they are being followed within the organization. To check the gaps in them and correct them with immediate effect.

- Ensure compliance to regulatory requirements in the plant and submission of necessary documents on time.

- Support and develop EHS activities in the plant.

- Ensure that health and safety policy and guidelines are followed and that Safety targets are set up annually, measured and improved continuously, thus creating a safe environment where employees can work safely in all areas.

- Productive liaison relationship with government authorities (Labour & Employment, Industries Department, Pollution Control Board, Fire Department, Health Department, appropriate Drug Authorities, Legal Meteorology department) Factories, Ensure a cordial relationship with External Stakeholders

- Foster a culture of engagement, commitment and continuous improvement within the plant, coaching and developing a leadership style amongst the management population that will support this culture.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities -

- Production and Processing - knowledge of raw materials, production processes and quality control.

- Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

- Law and Government - Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process.

- Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

- Engineering and Technology - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
