Job purpose & Scope
Job Purpose: To decide procurement strategy, ensure availability of material & product cost optimization for CP business
Scope: Consumer Product Segment
1. Internal Customers: Sales/ Marketing
2. External Customers: Vendors/ Sub-vendors
Major Areas of Responsibilities & Authorities
1. Management of vendor, Sub-vendors & forming the vendor management policy
2. Overseeing the planning & demand management team to ensure availability, deciding Share of Business, inventory norm management, inventory optimization
3. Overseeing the costing team for carrying our product costing, cost optimization, benchmarking, BOM validations, commodity management
4. Chairing the monthly S&OP meeting with Business
5. Monitoring vendor performance
6. Ensuring adherence to the departmental SOPs
7. Interdepartmental coordination for resolution of issues and partnering in key initiatives
8. Leading the departmental initiatives & liasoning with vendor management team on various issues
9. Introducing & implementing best practices and ideas to make the team agile
10. Team Development for enhancing the skills set & productivity
11. Managing vendor relationship - Forming business plans with vendors & issue resolution
12. Leading the change management & key organizational initiatives
Person Specifications
Candidate Profile:
- Essential Qualification: BE/ B.Tech (Mechanical/ Electrical)
- Desired Qualification: MBA (operations)/ Statistics
- Experience: 12-15 years of experience
Industry Preference: Appliances, White goods, FMCG
