DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION :

- The Finance Controller oversees the financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with regulations.


- They manage budgets, forecasts, and financial statements, while also monitoring cash flow and profitability.


- The role involves analyzing financial data to support decision-making and ensuring cost control.


- They also collaborate with department heads to optimize financial performance and manage audits.

Responsibility:

Financial Reporting:


- Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow reports.

- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads.

Cost Control:


- Monitor and control costs to ensure profitability, including analyzing variances and implementing corrective actions.

Revenue Management:


- Oversee the financial aspects of revenue management, ensuring optimal pricing and profitability strategies.

Compliance:


- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies, and manage audits.

Cash Flow Management:


- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and the ability to meet financial obligations.

Financial Analysis:


- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making and business planning.

Internal Controls:


- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

Team Leadership:


- Lead and develop the finance team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.

Stakeholder Collaboration:


- Work closely with other departments, senior management, and external stakeholders to align financial objectives with overall business goals.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

- A qualified Chartered Accountant is mandatory

- Experience in financial management, ideally within the hospitality sector, is essential.


- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and regulatory compliance is necessary.


- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems is important, along with advanced Excel skills.

- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills are also crucial for effectively managing teams and collaborating with stakeholders. An MBA or further specialization in hospitality finance can be an added advantage.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

- As an integral member of the company's staff, the candidate must possess strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills to ensure accurate financial management.


- They need to be highly organized, able to prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines effectively. Integrity and a strong sense of ethics are crucial for handling sensitive financial information.


- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important for collaborating with various departments and stakeholders. Leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and manage a team, are essential. Adaptability and problem-solving skills are also valuable, given the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

The Finance Controller will report to the CFO - Hospitality.

LOCATION: The position will be based in Pune.
