This is an Individual Contributor Role and reports to Head - Strategic Sourcing.

Job Experience: Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in the areas that match the JD.

Job Purpose:

- To support the Head of Strategic Sourcing in improving sourcing efficiencies, procurement processes, and strategic planning with necessary tools and information.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Analysis:

- Collaborate with the Head of SS to develop and implement strategic plans, objectives, and initiatives

- Conduct comprehensive analysis of commercial and procurement data from time to time, and identify key insights and trends to facilitate informed decision-making.

- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and recommendations based on the analysis to support informed decision-making

Improve Sourcing Efficiency:

- Participate in streamlining and optimizing the existing commercial and procurement processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness

- Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance sourcing productivity and performance.

- Develop and generate regular dashboards to provide management with a clear understanding of performance metrics, KPIs, and other relevant data.

Procurement Support:

- Assist in vendor evaluation, negotiations, and contract management.

- Conduct supplier assessments, monitor supplier performance, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement activities align with business objectives and compliance requirements.

Financial Analysis:

- Conduct financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis, to support decision-making and budget planning processes.

- Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and provide recommendations to improve financial outcomes.

- Assist in the development and monitoring of financial targets and budgets related to commercial and procurement activities.

Risk Management:

- Identify potential risks in commercial and procurement processes and work with the team to implement risk mitigation strategies.

- Develop and maintain strong compliance protocols to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and best practices.

Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as finance, legal, operations, and senior management, to gather requirements, align strategies, and ensure effective communication.

- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers, industry experts, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications & Knowledge:

- Masters' in business administration coupled with an engineering graduation. Academics from IIMs / NITs or such reputed institutions are pre-requisite.

- Proven experience in business analysis, strategic planning, procurement, or related roles.

- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data sets.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior management.

- Proficiency in budgeting, and forecasting.

- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

- Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiations.

- Familiarity with commercial and procurement software tools and technologies.

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
