Role:
- Develop and implement a detailed legal compliance system
- Provide strong legal support to all the business units of the group
- Monitor key trends in the regulatory and statutory environment and suggest an action plan for addressing them.
- Manage intellectual property matters for the company if any
KRA’s:
- Coordinate requests from businesses and prioritise issues depending on importance and escalate issues when necessary
- Leverage central legal resources when required (tap into functional expertise when necessary)
- Develop and implement a detailed legal compliance system
- Assist in assessing legal risks in transactions, contracting and operations and suggest risk mitigation strategies
- Monitor the organization’s investments and operations from a legal perspective and highlight concerns if any to the head of corporate affairs
- Assist in third-party negotiations and provide support in drafting contracts
- Provide support to the sales/sourcing teams in RFP responses, contract preparation and negotiation and debt collection matters
- Provide strategic advice and guidance to client management on future business expansion in India and overseas including M&A activities
- Provide general legal advice and support to all business functions
- Manage external legal expertise
- Handle litigations/settlements/anti-trust in cases which are sensitive, high-value, involve promoters, involve international arbitration or are related to supreme court/apex bodies
- Monitor key trends in the regulatory and statutory environment and suggest an action plan for addressing them.
- Manage intellectual property matters for the company, if any
- Build the desired organisation with best-in-class processes and capabilities
- Ensure that the required organization is established as planned
- Foster the professional growth of team members through coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback
