Job Description: Assistant General Manager (AGM) - IT Procurement

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) - IT Procurement to oversee our IT purchasing activities., you will play a crucial role in managing our increasing IT budgets and ensuring seamless procurement of software, hardware, and electronic components critical to our operations. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in IT procurement processes and technologies, demonstrating a keen understanding of both software and hardware requirements.

Reporting: Head of Procurement (Central Team)

Location: Noida - Headquarters with occasional travel to vendor sites and other company locations as required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Procurement Planning: Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with company objectives and budgetary considerations.

- Vendor Management: Identify and manage relationships with vendors, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring timely delivery of IT products and services.

- Cost Management: Optimize procurement costs while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability for IT purchases.

- Technology Expertise: Stay updated with industry trends in IT software, hardware, and electronics, providing insights into emerging technologies like IoT for factory connectivity.

- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure procurement activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements, mitigating risks associated with procurement processes.

- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with IT, finance, and operations teams to align procurement activities with organizational needs and priorities.

- Budget Oversight: Monitor and control IT procurement budgets, providing regular reports and analysis to senior management.

Qualifications & Required Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.

- MBA or advanced degree preferred.

- Proven experience (12+ years) in IT procurement, preferably within the FMCG or manufacturing industry.

- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and optimizing procurement processes.

- In-depth knowledge of IT software, hardware, and electronic components, including understanding of IoT technologies.

- Ability to analyze complex data and make data-driven procurement decisions.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

- Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS) is a plus.
