We have been mandated by a large conglomerate into Steel and Mining business for the below mentioned position.

Position: Plant Head HR (Green Field Project)

Location: Chhattisgarh

Experience: 15+

Qualification: MBA (Full time)

Job Summary:

The AGM/DGM - HR & IR will be responsible for leading the Human Resources and Industrial Relations functions at the integrated steel plant. This role requires a strong understanding of HR operations, talent acquisition, administration, statutory compliance, and industrial relations.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Talent Acquisition:

- Develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent.

- Oversee the entire recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, and onboarding.

- Collaborate with department heads to understand manpower requirements and ensure timely fulfillment of vacancies.

- Manage campus recruitment drives and develop relationships with educational institutions.

2. HR Operations:

- Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including employee records management, payroll processing, and benefits administration.

- Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee data, attendance, and leave management.

- Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals, and feedback mechanisms.

- Implement HR policies and procedures that align with the organization's objectives and comply with legal requirements.

3. Industrial Relations:

- Manage industrial relations at the plant, ensuring a harmonious work environment.

- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution in a fair and consistent manner.

- Develop and implement strategies to prevent and resolve labor disputes.

- Maintain and update records of industrial disputes, agreements, and settlements.

4. Statutory Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations, including PF, ESI, gratuity, and other statutory obligations.

- Manage the preparation and submission of statutory reports and returns.

- Stay updated on changes in labor laws and regulations, and implement necessary changes in the HR processes.

5. Liaison:

- Establish and maintain effective communication with government authorities, labor unions, and other external stakeholders.

- Represent the company in negotiations, meetings, and discussions with labor unions and government officials.

- Facilitate the smooth functioning of the plant by resolving issues related to labor, compliance, and administration.

6. Administration:

- Oversee administrative functions such as facility management, transportation, and security.

- Ensure the efficient management of office infrastructure, utilities, and other essential services.

- Develop and implement policies for employee welfare, safety, and health.
