AGM - Category Management - Building Material Industry


- The incumbent will be responsible for the P&L for a specific product/brand/category.


- Identifies opportunities to deliver incremental gross margin growth through cost reduction and/or volume growth opportunities and manages quarterly reviews to ensure delivery of Financial metrics versus plan.

Key Deliverables:

- Channel Strategy : Develop and execute marketing strategies that align with the overall business objectives and target specific channels.

- Promotions & Campaigns : Plan and implement promotional activities, campaigns, and incentives to motivate Retailers and influencers to sell more of the companys products. Set goals for promotions, monitor progress and re-align spends based on effectiveness of various programs.

- Brand Visibility : Work on increasing the visibility of the brand at the point of sale, ensuring that products are well-displayed and attractively presented to customers.

- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to understand the dynamics of the trade, identify opportunities and challenges, and stay informed about competitors' activities to provide actionable insights.


- Develop and maintain a centralized repository of market intelligence data.

- Pricing &Trade Spend Schemes Analysis : Gathering of competitive market data with active liaising with the sales team. Implementation of pricing and trade spend actions across different geographies.

- Collaborate with Sales Team: Collaborate closely with the sales teams to understand their needs and challenges and develop marketing strategies that support the sales objectives

- Data Analysis : Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of trade marketing initiatives, gather insights, and make data-driven decisions for future strategies. Develop and maintain MIS to provide real-time insights into sales performance, sales force efficiency, and other key metrics. Generate regular dashboards and ad-hoc reports for internal stakeholders, highlighting trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.

- Communication Skills: Effectively communicate marketing strategies, objectives, and expectations to internal teams and external partners.

Educational Background and Work Experience

- Full Time Post Graduate in MBA from a reputed institute with minimum 10 years of experience in the areas Marketing, Sales.

- Demonstrated experience and success in managing product/brand preferably

- Candidates from Mumbai Preferred
