Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Corporate Legal Counsel to join our legal team. This role involves providing comprehensive legal support to the company's operations and business units, primarily in areas related to manufacturing law. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law, particularly within the manufacturing sector, and demonstrate excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Advisory: Offer accurate and timely legal advice on a variety of issues including:
- Indian Contract Act
- Sale of Goods Act
- Competition Law
- Environmental laws and compliance
- Cyber laws
- Packaging regulations
- E-commerce regulations
- General corporate law applicable to manufacturing
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Monitor relevant regulatory changes and advise on compliance measures across the organization, mitigating legal risks in manufacturing processes and corporate transactions.
- Policy Development: Contribute to the formulation of company policies related to legal compliance, ethics, and corporate governance.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with business units and other departments to provide proactive legal solutions aligned with business objectives.
Required Skills:
- Strong Drafting & Negotiation Skills: Ability to independently draft and negotiate various commercial agreements.
- In-depth Legal Knowledge: Expertise in Indian laws relevant to the manufacturing sector, including commercial contracts, compliance, and corporate regulations.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal issues clearly and persuasively.
- Teamwork & Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Problem-Solving & Responsiveness: Quick and efficient response to legal issues, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
- Ethical Standards: Strong ethical principles and commitment to integrity in all legal matters.
- Independence: Capable of handling legal matters without relying on external counsel.
