Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare designs for all metadata in accordance with various Data Integration processes.
- Develop and test data integration (ETL) processes, including design, development, and testing.
- Analyze source systems to transition and acquire data into the enterprise data warehouse.
- Define and implement business transformation rules and logic for ETL scripts.
- Design and develop exception handling and data cleansing procedures.
- Troubleshoot ETL processes and resolve issues effectively.
- Provide lifecycle support for Data Integration solutions.
- Support data warehouse initiatives, monitor processes, and capture metadata.
- Design database systems, develop physical and logical data models, and recommend improvements.
- Maintain and develop database scripts and tools for automation.
- Define metadata standards for the data warehouse.
- Define suitable architectures for data integration from multiple data sources.
- Collaborate with users and support personnel to ensure optimal ETL performance and data quality.
- Prepare status reports and submit them to management.
- Initiate and manage cross-departmental communication to resolve integration-related questions and issues.
- Manage issues and escalate as needed to the Solutions Manager and other relevant groups.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6-7 years of experience in data warehousing, data modeling, and data integration.
- Experience designing large-scale ETL solutions for multiple systems.
- Proficiency in data analysis, modeling, and design specific to data warehouse environments.
- Strong experience with Data Integration/ETL tools like Talend and/or other tools.
- Proficiency in SQL and SQL scripting for relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with AWS Cloud environment and CI/CD Automation processes/tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Perl, JavaScript, and shell scripting.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix/Windows platforms.
- Strong understanding of data warehouse design principles and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering, management information systems, or equivalent.
