Job summary:

The role and responsibilities of an Advisor to Managing Director's office for a business strategy focusing on import-export operations and retail division handling premium fresh fruits, vegetables, and baking division may include strategic planning, market research, business development, retail operations management, Quality Control etc. The Advisor to Managing Director's office plays a crucial role in driving the success and growth of the import-export and retail divisions, as well as the baking division, within the organization.

Roles and responsibilities:

- Develop strategic plans for the import-export operations, retail division, and baking division, aligning them with the company's overall objectives and market opportunities.

- Provide insights to MD and guide in strategic decision-making.

- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and potential competitors in the import-export, retail, and baking sectors.

- Evaluate potential risks and opportunities associated with entering new markets and guide the MD to optimal approaches to penetrate them effectively.

- Explore new markets and business opportunities for importing and exporting premium fresh fruits, vegetables, and baked goods.

- Establish partnerships and negotiate contracts with suppliers, distributors, and retail outlets.

- Perform financial analysis to evaluate the profitability and feasibility of various business initiatives.

- Monitor key financial metrics and make recommendations to optimize revenue and minimize costs.

- Oversee the import-export logistics, ensuring smooth transportation, customs clearance, and timely delivery of goods.

- Collaborate with logistics partners to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce operational costs.

- Implement stringent quality control measures to maintain the freshness and quality of imported fruits, vegetables, and baked goods.

- Monitor competitor activities, industry trends, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive differentiation and update the same to MD.

- Provide strategic recommendations for product development, packaging innovation, and market positioning to MD

- Establish quality standards and procedures to meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

- Manage the retail division's operations, including inventory management, sales forecasting, and customer service.

- Develop strategies to enhance the retail experience and drive sales growth.

- Develop marketing strategies to promote premium fresh fruits, vegetables, and baked goods to target customers.

- Utilize various marketing channels, including digital marketing, advertising, and promotions, to increase brand awareness and sales.

- Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the business against market volatility, supply chain disruptions, and regulatory changes.

- Provide leadership and guidance to the teams responsible for import-export operations, retail management, and baking division.

- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture to achieve business objectives.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant import-export regulations, food safety standards, and industry best practices. Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to business operations.

- Continuously evaluate business processes and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

- Implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, or related field with experience; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

- Minimum of 4 years' experience in similar field of strategic partnerships, with a proven track record of success.

- Exceptional leadership skills, with a knack for catalysing change and garnering buy-in across all levels of the organization.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with executives, employees, and external partners.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyse complex data and provide actionable insights.

- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Proven ability in building relationships and effectively interacting with senior leadership & international stakeholders.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, and profitability.
