Aditya Birla - Team Leader - Strategy

Key Responsibilities :

- Continuously scan external environment & competition pertaining to the sectors we are present in/ in the area of emerging technologies/ new sectors to assess strategic fit.

- Evaluate strategic fit of identified opportunities and review key assumptions/ drivers which will include market potential, customer needs, strategic fit, competitive landscape, and financial attractiveness.

- Influence the key senior stakeholders on the identified projects to obtain alignment and buy-in

- Provide analytical support for new projects these may involve financial modelling, pricing models, market research, etc

- Manage and coordinate with key stakeholders for merger, acquisition, JV, including market assessment, negotiations, contract review and transaction execution

- Draft, review and negotiate various types of proposals such as confidentiality agreements, letters of intent, term sheets and binding proposal documents

- Develop and continuously update repository of market industry research and market intelligence on identified sectors

- Work and build relationships with external stakeholders such as Investors, investment bankers, private equity, VC- s, etc.

Experience & qualification :

- Masters in Business Administration from top ten International University

- Minimum 10+ years experience in corporate strategy and business development in a large corporate or consulting environment and should have worked in emerging technologies sector

Desired Skills :

- Good conceptual skills with very strong quantitative and qualitative analytic abilities and creative problem solving skills

- Demonstrated knowledge of M&A analysis and evaluate the impacts of strategic decision making

- Demonstrated communication and influencing skills

- Should have dealt with CXO's of the companies on various strategic area.

- Ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple projects with an eye on strong time management

- Should have strong networks with Investors / VC / incubators / universities and start-ups

- Willingness to travel

Required an incumbent who is currently working in Silicon Valley and has the relevant exposure.

Should be able to bring in connects from the industry and country.

Will manage Digital for all Mfg. and Services sector.
