Aditya Birla - Manufacturing Data Analytics

Job Purpose :

- Drive Manufacturing analytics and data modelling in manufacturing units.

Job Context & Major Challenges :

- Identifying business problems in manufacturing units, assessing its potential to be solved using analytics tools and setting up the model to resolve the issue, help implement and monitor performance.

Principal Accountabilities :

- Understand key business issues in each unit / business

- Work closely with the unit teams to understand the key processes and process drivers and issues

- Identify partners to be able to work in the area of modelling. Assess market for available service providers basis our guidelines

- Work with unit teams in deployment of model output. Be able to convince the units to be able to pilot the model outputs and measure the impact

Candidate Profile :

Education : Engineer (BE / B Tech) - (chemical / mechanical / industrial / instrumentation Engineering is preferred)

- In depth understanding of statistical tools

- Exposure to Analytics tools like SAS, R, SPSS. (Additional computer skills like querying using SQL etc. will be an advantage)

- Experience in data modelling

- Preferred if experience in a manufacturing set up for a few years or has performed modelling work for a manufacturing client

Good analytical skills : should be able translate shop floor problems to machine language.
