Group Projects Cell:

- The Group Projects Cell reviews and monitors the Aditya Birla Group’s portfolio of projects and ensures that projects are delivered within the approved cost and time schedules and meet global quality and safety standards. The cell assists the Chairman’s Office and capital review committees, periodically set up by the Chairman, in the appraisal of new Greenfield and Brownfield project proposals.

- In addition, the Cell interfaces with corporate and on-site project teams of Group companies in the areas of project planning, project schedule recovery, cost bench marking studies, risk management and project cost reduction

Qualification and experience:

- B.E/ B. Tech degree in Electrical / Mechanical engineering and minimum of 15 years of experience out of which 5-6 years in managerial position of Project Management.

- Team Player with ability to build strong cross-business relationships - proven flexibility, adaptability, and reliability.

- Good oral and written communication presentation skills.

- Experience in Conceptualization, formulation, evaluation of large projects / Power Plants followed for Project Management system with adequate understanding of Project Bench marking for Schedule and cost, Project Implementation plan, Risk identification and Mitigation Plan, and EHS management Plan.

- Knowledge of project management tools, best practices and processes strong understanding of methodologies and theory.

- Experience of owner Project Organization will be an added advantage.

- Certification in Project management proficiency by professional organization like PMA / PMI is desirable.

Key Result Areas/Account-abilities:

- Assist in evaluation of new capital project proposals submitted by various group companies particularly focusing on proposed CPPs and provide recommendations for optimal CPP configuration, completion schedule and cost

- Assist in Review and monitoring of progress of assigned projects across group companies by tracking deviations in cost and schedule targets set at time of approval and provide recommendations for taking timely corrective actions by analysis of weekly, monthly reports from business and periodic site visit.

- Identify and define Best practices, standards and contracting strategy in the areas related to execution of CPP projects and gain acceptance for the same by interacting with project teams across group companies

- Preparation of Planning Package with the help of Softwares like Primavera / MS Project for approved CPP Projects of Group Companies

- Preparation of Quality Assurance plan and SHE documents for various ongoing project including CPP
