Key Areas of Accountability:
- Review for acquisitions, dispositions and corporate restructurings, including due diligence, negotiation, structuring and post-close integration.
- Advising, coordinating and problem-solving across a multi-functional M&A team, including corporate development, regulatory issues, legal, HR, accounting, finance and business teams to achieve complex project goals.
- Researching and documenting domestic and international tax issues, including coordination with external advisors and lawyers including support financial modeling and presentations of tax impacts of transactional planning.
- Providing technical advice related to transactions to other members of the tax department.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant
- Bachelor's degree from any recognized university.
Experience:
- 10-12 years and above of experience in Big 4 firm or large conglomerates - with atleast 4 years in core M&A Tax.
- Deep knowledge of structuring, corporate tax laws, including domestic and international.
- Technical understanding of FEMA and other regulatory provisions like SEBI, Corporate laws, Stock Exchange regulations etc.
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex tax laws in a business setting.
- Strong technical writing and tax research skills
