AD - Valuations Analyst - Non IB

Role :

- Execution of IPV for Asset Management, Wealth Management and Corporate and Personal Banking Divisions ( Non IB divisions)

- Determining valuation adjustments required for Non IB divisions

- Reviewing fair value financial reporting disclosures produced for Non IB divisions.

- Liaising with cross-regional entity controllers and fund management teams to verify population data

- Attend valuation committee meetings and risk calls to ensure material balance sheet impacts are accounted for and communicated

- Production and presentation of divisional level valuation packs to senior management

Candidate :

The ideal candidate will combine the following skill sets and or qualifications:

- Strong mathematical/analytical ability ideally with a degree in Finance, Math or Economics and experience in valuations

- Good understanding of Credit and Fixed Income Securities, Equity Instruments, Fund valuations

- Computing skills including strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

- Strong communication and inter-personal skills in order to interact confidently with other stakeholders including entity controllers / onshore valuations / Finance management

- Attention to detail, strong team player, ability to multitask and work independently

- Knowledge of differing accounting treatments and balance sheet impact
