Role: Associate Director, Transaction Advisory services

Reports to: Practice Leader

Location: Mumbai

Background and experience: CA (only) with 8-10 years of experience out of which 5-7 years should be in financial due diligence.

An expert knowledge of accounting standards like Indian GAP, International GAP and Diligence practices.

About our client: A leading Consulting firm

Key responsibilities:

This job is to support in expanding the firm’s activities by establishing new client relationships and identifying opportunities to market the organization’s services. Individuals with a strong experience in financial due diligence will be preferred.

- Help Partners in identifying new business opportunities and develop long-term business relationships with existing and prospective clients

- Get involved at the various levels of the job (marketing, selling & application level)

- Provide financial and business due diligence assistance to various clients, including private equity investors

- Analyze data of target company to identify historical and projected financial and operating trends, quality of earnings and working capital considerations, and potential liabilities and risks which impact valuation and negotiation of the target company

- Managing and contributing to the report-writing process

- Manage the entire engagement (execution part) from planning to compliance to managing of controversy projects with respect to the clients

- Responding to client requirements within the stipulated period of time

- Giving valuable advice/ information to the partner on client issues

- Support the team to help clients of other partners with compliance issues

Key KPIs:

- Quality of work & In-depth knowledge about the client

- Number of new relationships developed over the year

- Ability and efforts to expand the firm across four dimensions: Due Diligence, Process Consulting, Technology Risk and Compliance/AML

- Understanding and managing diversity within his/her team having multiple competencies

- On occasions should be able to step into Partner’s shoes in his absence (e.g.: large client presentation)

- Client’s acceptance of planning ideas

- Timely execution of compliance

- Successfully satisfying timely responsiveness to client’s queries

- Carrying out effective use of databases

- Quality of client service and time spent on client engagement

- Quality of advice put forward

Behavioral Skills:

- A strong drive to expand the practice and the organization

- Strong communication skills both verbal and written

- Good analytical and marketing skills

- Excellent presentation of ideas and well developed thought process

- Interpretative and analytical skills are important
