Reliance Retail (RRL) JioMart Marketplace

The Marketplace business is an internet-commerce based platform where sellers across various domains can list their products, pricing and positioning, while receiving support from the marketplace owners in terms of warehouse and logistics, paying a service fee to the marketplace platform in exchange for the listing and e-commerce services.

This is different from traditional e-commerce inventory model, where the e-commerce platform owner also owns inventory, and hence is traditionally an asset-heavy model. 3P Marketplace business on the other hand, is an asset-light model.

Advertising Team :

The advertising team would act as a revenue centre for the marketplace business. The intent would be to help the Vendors and sellers across the marketplace reach out to their customers who shop on JioMart, thereby enhancing the vendors / sellers potential sales and brand value on the platform as well as offer personalised communication to the customers to make their research / purchase journey easier.

The Advertising business is a strategic start-up with support and interest from business units across the company as well as Reliance Retail's top management. Job Description :

The ideal candidate will have sales background preferably in the digital advertising space with revenue responsibility, proven track record of building a sales model through adoption of sales best practices, building a robust team of sales managers and nurturing them to drive business outputs, winning strategic customers/signing strategic long-term partnerships, possess strong communication/articulation skills, and have the ability to think strategically and analytically about the business, product, and market opportunities and challenges. He/she will have a keen sense of ownership, drive, and desire to win!

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop and manage sales and business development strategies and best practices with an output goal of driving revenue and long-term growth.

- Design and Develop partnership programs and processes that ensure appropriate level of communication and knowledge sharing with the advertisers, partner functions and leadership teams.

- Collaborate with CXOs, CMOs, Digital Marketing Heads, E-commerce Heads and Agencies to capture, distil, and prioritize feedback and deliver it to Product, Operations, Finance, services, marketing and solve for the most critical demands from advertisers.

- Monitoring and Driving up CSAT (Customer satisfaction Score) for the identified list of advertisers.

- Lead business planning activities including quarterly business reviews, monthly reviews, advertiser training and workshops and annual operating plan development.

- Utilizing existing client and agency relationships to deliver significant, long-term deals with top strategic advertisers.

- Develop market knowledge within the internal teams through understanding and representation of customer and industry trends/needs and ensure and provide a powerful and differentiated value proposition.

- Build and strong team of sales managers and work towards keeping them motivated and focused to deliver on their responsibilities and thus grown in their careers.
