Regional Financial Services Knowledge Leader(Associate Director)-Banking & Capital Markets
- This position is responsible for the execution of the integrated FS knowledge plan at a regional level - driving direct impact through the Region aligned resources (Awareness & Adoption, Analysts/Knowledge Managers) and coordinating with the other FS knowledge leaders and others in the Knowledge vertical to ensure regional impact from relevant knowledge programs.
- The RKL is expected to have a good understanding of their practitioner population and be a - voice of the customer, able to share user feedback with the FS cluster leadership team and beyond to shape plans ongoing and ensure their regional relevance.
- This position is global, service line and sector wide, needing to interact and be credible with most senior leaders.
- The RKL is responsible for building the awareness and adoption of Knowledge programs and tools among practitioners across the FSO and FSI practices, working with a network of regional Knowledge resources, extended champion networks and other Knowledge vertical colleagues such as Knowledge Managers, to enable client service teams to adopt leading practices, content, processes and technologies.
- Reporting to the FS Cluster Knowledge Leader, with a dotted line to the appropriate Area Knowledge Leader, this position is a member of the FS cluster knowledge leadership team and plays an integral role in the creation of an integrated FS knowledge plan and in monitoring that its execution is impact-full in key markets at a local business level and for regularly sharing regional/ area information and feedback.
- The role will team with the sector knowledge leaders in the FS cluster on managing stakeholders, to ensure optimized resource allocation across the FS cluster, and ensure delivery knowledge programs at the right global/regional level to maximize synergies and avoid duplication of effort or confusion of practitioners.
- The Sector and Regional KLs in the FS cluster share collective responsibility for development and delivery of the integrated FS knowledge plans and hence the regional FS KLs will be expected to lead and participate in global cross-sector projects as well as their regional leadership responsibilities.
- This role is expected to take about 30% of the Knowledge Leader's time. For the rest of their time, they will operate as a Knowledge Manager or Analyst with the FS cluster, as per the job specification for a domain Knowledge Manager or Analyst.
Essential Functions of the Job :
- Build strong relationships with senior FSO and FSI leaders in an area to be their primary knowledge point of contact
- Consult with Regional FS leaders to understand their business and knowledge priorities and focus and manage expectations
- Represent the full array of knowledge services and share best practices from across the globe to support the regional priorities and focus
- Leverage knowledge metrics and measurements so that value can be monitored and discussed with Regional leaders
- Engages with the Regional leaders for an effective implementation of our service model with a view to optimize our support and effectiveness.
- Work to address their needs using the full range of options including tailoring of global content created in sectors / service lines, premium or charge back services delivered primarily through GTH locations and enhanced self service
- Direct the activities of knowledge team members assigned with regional Knowledge responsibilities including accountability for their impact, sharing Knowledge updates and receiving and using regional insights and feedback
- Connect frequently with other business supporting functions and initiative leaders in the aligned FSOs and FSIs (e.g., Business Development, Brand Marketing and Communications, Pursuits, Learning) to ensure knowledge is partnering with them and supporting account acceleration efforts and other market opportunities effectively
- Liaising with FS Cluster Knowledge leaders and Sector Knowledge Leaders and others in the vertical to drive transformation and change management efforts as needed to refresh the design, staffing, and delivery approach of knowledge to serve internal and external clients to reflect market changes, regional priorities and changes in the firm's practitioner needs
- Partner with Markets, BD and BMC to accelerate impact of priority initiatives at the regional or market segment
- Responsible, in consultation with the FS Cluster Knowledge Leader, for scoping and delivering a scalable knowledge investment model for the FSOs based on local priorities.
- Have regular interactions with BMC, BD and Markets leaders and other functions to look for synergies, share best practices & avoid duplication
- Build a good understanding of practitioner needs in their region, able to act as a Voice of the Customer to input feedback to shape FS programs
- Serve as member of the EY global FS Cluster Knowledge leadership team helping to architect the global FS integrated plan factoring the Region's needs
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities :
- Prioritizing and planning to ensure the regional knowledge priorities represented in the integrated knowledge plan
- Managing and addressing customer expectations for knowledge requests outside of the integrated knowledge planning process (ad-hoc requests and / or responding to market demands)
- Understands the firm's go-to-market strategy and service delivery models, how core business services support the service lines, and how knowledge enables exceptional client service and high performing teams.
- Understands the firm's Vision 2020 and Knowledge Transformation, and ensures key knowledge FS sector strategies are aligned to them

- Ability to demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills to talk about knowledge programs in a clear, compelling manner with a professional/executive presence
Supervision Responsibilities :
- This position is expected to work independently providing updates and escalating as appropriate to the FS Cluster Knowledge Leader
- Direct responsibility for those with regional knowledge extended leadership responsibilities in an area and coordinating point of contact for all knowledge team members in Area.
Other Requirements :
- Must be willing to travel regularly across the region and occasionally globally
- Role holder's residence should be within the region they lead
Job Requirements :
Education :
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
Experience :
- 12 + years of experience in research and analysis, knowledge management, knowledge adoption and/or the professional services industry and leading, motivating and managing a team
- Prior experience as a client serving practitioner in a professional services firm preferred but not essential.
