QUALIFICATIONS : Masters degree in technology from a premier institute required. In addition, management degree or certifications desired
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Will be responsible for implementing IT Operations best practices and drive IT innovation to ensure competitive differentiation, customer loyalty and IT efficiencies.
- Responsible for enterprise wide concerns like, security and privacy, risk management, business continuity, quality improvements, implementing policies in collaboration with other BU heads to deliver necessary tools & systems.
- Responsible & accountable for the IT integration, management, and procurement of all IT products approve by the Network strategy leader.
- Responsible for managing the IT operations in a cost effective and transparent manner, by benchmarking costs against commercial service providers.
- Manage IT function’s formal leadership development program, by working with HR to identify candidates for leadership tracks and succession planning and create a curriculum that emphasizes business and people skills
- Responsible for creating a standard IT project transitioning methodology by applying best practices, such as prototyping, tracking and post implementation auditing, communicating it to the stakeholders and ensuring adherence to the new methodology.
- Maintain uninterrupted and quality IT service to customers by constantly measuring IT efficiencies and improving the existing quality of services.
DESIRED SKILLS
- Deep functional and management knowledge across the following IT domains: Network Management (LAN, MAN and WAN); Voice, Data Centre Management and Hosting; Delivery of desk-side technical support; Operation of an IT helpdesk; Asset management and procurement.
- Ability to represent the organization professionally with senior external client personnel.
- Proven ability to manage a significant number of complex initiatives at the same time, as well as line-managing a large and growing organization.
- Considerable years of diverse skills & experience in managing technology, business and people.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Extensive experience on IT operations working for a multinational technology company and managing a large organization of 500+ people.
- 15 year of IT experience with considerable years leading large IT operations, managing IT business efficiencies and people.
- Strong technology background with experience in both infrastructure and application development complemented by demonstrated business knowledge and experience of leading a P&L unit preferably or managing a cost center with significant budge.
- The candidate must have a demonstrated financial and accounting acumen couple by proven ability to prioritize competing demands.
- Must have a substantial management experience in the following categories:
- Large distributed IT environments
- Global resource and project management
- Staffing & sourcing alternatives, including remote, contract and outsourced
- Matrixed organizational structure
- Crisis response and recovery
- Ability to shape and manage IT expectations at all levels of the organization
- Ability to communicate and articulate well across geographies.
- Ability to build effective teams.
- Ability and willingness to work with others. Be a genuine team player
- Ability to build effective relationships with all stakeholders.
- Proven business acumen
- Drive and commitment to build IT best practices to ensure the upmost IT efficiencies for the business.
- Ability to operate successfully with large degree of ambiguity in a changing environment.
