Job Summary:

AGL - Hakuhodo is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Account Management & Marketing Strategy Group Head to lead and inspire a team of Account and Client Servicing Managers. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of the digital landscape, a proven track record of fostering strong client relationships, and the strategic acumen to develop and communicate effective digital marketing strategies that drive client business objectives. The Group Head will be responsible for overall client satisfaction, revenue growth within their portfolio, team leadership and mentorship, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality digital solutions.

Responsibilities:

- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Account & Client Servicing Managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and identify opportunities for professional growth within the team.

- Strategic Client Relationship Management: Manage overall agency/client relationships at a senior level, establishing strong rapport, building trust, and cultivating long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with key clients. Act as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to clients.

- Strategic Consulting and Direction: Provide clients with high-level strategic direction and expert consulting on their digital marketing initiatives to help them achieve their overarching business and marketing objectives. Offer insightful recommendations and innovative solutions.

- Project Management Excellence: Implement and champion sound project management processes and tools within the team to ensure efficient delivery, timely execution, and adherence to client expectations and agency standards.

- Client Retention and Revenue Growth: Be accountable for client retention within the assigned portfolio and actively identify and pursue opportunities for revenue growth through upselling and cross-selling relevant agency services.

- Independent Management of Large Clients: Independently manage relationships with large and strategically important clients, demonstrating a high level of ownership, proactivity, and strategic thinking.

- Digital Strategy Formulation: Collaborate closely with the planning and creative teams to create effective and innovative digital strategies that align with client business goals and leverage the full spectrum of digital channels.

- Understanding Business Requirements and Proposing Solutions: Thoroughly understand the business and marketing requirements of both existing and prospective clients. Proactively propose comprehensive digital solutions encompassing digital marketing, technology, and analytics to address their specific needs and challenges.

- Conceiving and Communicating Digital Strategies: Possess a strong ability to conceptualize and clearly communicate complex digital strategies to clients in a compelling and persuasive manner, demonstrating the value and potential impact of the proposed solutions.

- Agency Representation: Represent the agency professionally in client meetings, industry events, and other relevant forums.

- Financial Oversight: Manage budgets and ensure the profitability of client accounts within the assigned portfolio.

- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Oversee the monitoring of campaign performance, analyze results, and provide insightful reports to clients, demonstrating the ROI of digital initiatives.

Preferred Experience Background:

- Overall Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in the digital marketing industry.

- Client Servicing/Account Management: At least 6-8 years of significant experience in client servicing and account management roles within a digital marketing agency or a relevant client-side marketing function.

- Comprehensive Digital Understanding: Very sound and in-depth understanding of the entire digital ecosystem, including Social Media Marketing, Paid Media (Search, Display, Social Ads), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Email Marketing, Web Analytics (e.g., Google Analytics), and Content Marketing.

- Proven Client Relationship Management: A demonstrable and proven track record of successfully managing and growing client relationships and portfolios, with evidence of exceeding client expectations and achieving business objectives.

- Team Leadership Experience: Prior experience in managing and leading a team of account management professionals, including setting goals, providing guidance, and fostering team growth.

- Strategic Thinking and Solutioning: Strong ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into effective and innovative digital solutions that can demonstrably help clients achieve their business objectives. Proven ability to conceive, articulate, and sell comprehensive digital strategies.

Skills:

- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients at all levels and internal teams. Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

- Strategic Thinking and Analytical Skills: Ability to think strategically, analyze complex data, and develop data-driven insights and recommendations.

- Leadership and Team Management Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, mentor, and develop a team of account management professionals.

- Deep Understanding of Digital Marketing Principles: Comprehensive knowledge of digital marketing methodologies, best practices, and emerging trends across various channels.

- Strong Project Management Skills: Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely and successful delivery.

- Financial Acumen: Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and managing the financial aspects of client accounts.

- Client-Centric Approach: A strong focus on understanding and meeting client needs and exceeding their expectations.

- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Skills: Ability to identify and resolve complex issues and make sound decisions under pressure.

- Proficiency in Relevant Tools and Platforms: Familiarity with various digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management tools, analytics platforms, and project management software.

Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

- Relevant certifications in digital marketing or account management are advantageous.

Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in the digital marketing industry, with a strong focus on account management and strategy.
